The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is continuing to do master planning for all of the neighborhood parks in the 5 service areas of the city. South was completed in 2016, the Downtown plan is to be approved this summer, and the Northside plan is underway. The Northeast/Southeast (NE/SE) plan, now renamed the East of the River Neighborhood Park Master Plan will be starting this summer. You can now register with GovDelivery to get updates. Go to the planning page and subscribe to email updates to receive notices or opportunities to weigh in on the plans for your neighborhood park. These park plans will be used for the capital improvements associated with both the 20 Year Neighborhood Park Planning process and for designating Park Dedication Fees collected from new housing and business development.
